I have been recovering from a post-viral infection for the last couple of months so haven’t painted, gamed or written much. Hence the lack of updates here.
I am now back at the games club on a fairly regular basis and on the road to recovery which is good.
The top priority at the moment is to get everything ready for our participation game at Valhalla 2004 - the Farnborough Wargames Club annual convention on June 20th. We, at the Guildford Wargames Club - have run games for the last three years and even won the Best Participation Game award last year for our G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. Egypt 1882 games.
This year we are running a Three Musketeers game and I am still busy finishing off painting figures, sorting out the coach, sticking paving stones down, finishing the rules and everything else that needs to be done before the game is ready. We had a run through a few weeks ago, which went very well so I am pretty confident that the game will be fun. Needless to say, we will be using the excellent Redoubt Miniatures range for almost all the figures, with the odd Citadel Dancing Bear hiding amongst them!
The next thing to start will be our War of the Roses campaign that 10+ people have now bought figures for. We are going to be using Kingmaker to run a WAB Armies of Chivalry campaign.
While I have been off work I had plenty of time to think through a few projects and the first of those, a new miniatures company, will be coming soon. More details once we have some greens to show.
